Wellbeing Week Day 4

Fun Friday was the perfect way to end our first Wellbeing Week, with three lovely events to round things off. Marion from Blissful Buddies led a calming mindfulness session with each class group, giving the children a chance to relax and unwind. The fun continued as the children brought in games from home to share and play with their classmates.  There was lots of fun and laughter to be seen and heard!

Our final treat was a visit from the ice cream van, and everyone enjoyed a yummy ice cream to celebrate a fantastic week! A big thank you to Paul and Naomi Taylor for kindly treating the children to this special surprise — it was the perfect way to end a fun-filled day!

New and updated PE equipment

As part of our active schools flag initiative the children have access to a wide range of PE equipment for use during break times. This is especially useful for our playground leaders from 3rd and

6th class as they organise activities for their peers.

The vast majority of PE equipment has been located just inside the bottom doors beside the yard for this past school year. This is in keeping with the recommendation that equipment be easily accessible for teachers and pupils alike.

We also took delivery of a new additional batch of hurdles and 4 new agility ladders as requested by our pupils on the active schools committee.
